Design Science receives the California Distinuished School Honor
DSHS was notified on April 1, 2009, by Jack O'Connell, State Superintendent of Public Instruction,that it had received the California Distinguished School honor. DSHS will be a Distinguished school froom April, 2009 through June 2013. Way to go RAMS!

Design Science High School is an innovative approach to high school education. DSHS offers students the opportunity to earn a high school diploma and college credit at the same time.
Design Science High School (DSHS) is a joint venture between Fresno Unified School District, Fresno City College, Foundation for California Community Colleges and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. DSHS is an accelerated program that incorporates college and high school curriculum. Student focus on Construction Management, Engineering and Architecture. Students will complete their ninth and tenth grade requirements in the first two years of work in the Design Science High School, and formally matriculate as full-time Fresno City College students in the fall of their 11th grade year. Students will then select one of four career/educational pathways: Construction, Construction Management, Architecture, or Engineering. Students will earn their high school diploma and have the opportunity to earn an associate of arts degree, transferable credit to a CSU or UC, or a certificate of completion from their chosen pathway.

Recruitment 2009-2010
Recruitment for the 2010-201 school year will begin in September, 2010 and ends December 1, 2010. We will be attending the Magnet Transfer Fair at the middle schools. Look for us there!
